Youth Violence

In my paper I was talking about youth violence around Memphis. Over 400 young people have died from violence caused by other people of the same age group last year. It is one thing that people can take another person’s life but it becomes real sad that its young people that are killing each other. The cause for this is because most of the teens do not have the positive role models in their life to show them right from wrong. Young people are also causing violence upon others because they have been involved in fights, or have been bullied and they feel like there is no one to help them with their situation, which causes them to take matters into their own hands. If only they had something productive to do with their time then they would not have time to cause problems within their community. Young people also need that role model to show them the right path to travel so they would know how to live a positive life. Getting involved into school or non-school extracurricular activities can also reduce the crime rate amongst young people. Extracurricular activities give young people the positive role model they need. It also is a way for them to make new friends, help with the future, and get know themselves and how to handle different situations in a positive manner.
